Fabletics Mystery Box Review: Is It Really Worth the Money?

November 2, 2026 · In: Fitness, Workout Clothes

I love a good activewear bargain, and if you’ve watched any of my previous activewear reviews, you’ll know that I’m quite a fan of Fabletics. But while there are some pieces that I absolutely love, there are also plenty that I wouldn’t necessarily choose to buy.

So, when I spotted the Fabletics Mystery Box, I was intrigued.

For €99, or one VIP membership credit, you could get six mystery items from their activewear collection. The catch? You don’t know exactly what you’re going to receive.

And I’ll be honest, I was a little sceptical.

Was this going to be an incredible bargain, or was it simply a way for Fabletics to get rid of all the stock that nobody wanted?

Well, I decided to take a chance, order one and find out for myself. As my public service to you, I spend my money so that you don’t have to.

In this Fabletics Mystery Box review, I’m sharing everything that arrived, how the clothes fitted, which pieces I’ll actually wear and whether I think it’s worth buying.

Prefer to watch the unboxing and see how everything fits? You can watch my full Fabletics Mystery Box unboxing and try-on review here:

What Is the Fabletics Mystery Box?

The Fabletics Mystery Box is a surprise bundle containing six clothing items selected by Fabletics, they come in limited stock and I believe that they are only avialable to VIP members.

The box I purchased was advertised at €99, or you could use one Fabletics VIP membership credit.

Now, I already have a Fabletics VIP membership, and I’d forgotten to skip one of my monthly payments. That meant I’d been charged €59 and had a credit sitting in my account.

So, rather than using it to buy something specific, I decided to put that credit towards the mystery box.

That meant I effectively paid €59 for six pieces of Fabletics clothing, working out at just under €10 per item.

On paper, that’s a pretty incredible deal.

But of course, it’s only good value if you’re actually going to wear the clothes!

Can You Choose What Comes in Your Fabletics Mystery Box?

You don’t get to choose the individual items, but there are a few options when ordering.

I was able to select my clothing sizes and had the option to specify colour preferences and whether I wanted more tops or bottoms.

However, I decided to leave the colours completely open and go for a proper lucky dip.

I thought that would make the unboxing more fun, although I was slightly worried that I’d end up with a box full of crazy colours and things I’d never normally wear.

I was particularly hoping for some leggings because I’ve recently gone down a clothing size and could do with replacing a few pairs.

So, let’s see what arrived.

What Was Inside My Fabletics Mystery Box?

I received six clothing items, plus an additional little surprise.

There was a good mixture of activewear and casual clothing, and although not everything was something I’d have picked for myself, I was pleasantly surprised by some of the pieces.

1. Black Seamless Scrunch Leggings

The first clothing item I pulled out was a pair of black seamless scrunch leggings in a size small.

Now, I’m not normally a fan of seamless leggings, and I’m definitely not somebody who goes looking for a bum scrunch.

So, initially, I wasn’t particularly excited about these.

But once I tried them on, I actually changed my mind.

The scrunch detail wasn’t nearly as obvious, as I’d expected, and it was actually quite flattering. I found the leggings incredibly comfortable.

They had some contouring around the sides, and I could move around in them easily. There was a little bit of bulging around one area, but nothing that particularly bothered me.

And the biggest positive?

They were black!

I was expecting the mystery box to be full of unusual colours that perhaps hadn’t sold very well, so getting a staple pair of black leggings was a really nice surprise.

They’re something I can wear with pretty much anything, and although I probably wouldn’t have chosen this particular style myself, I’m really happy to have them.

My verdict: A definite keeper. Comfortable, versatile and much nicer than I expected.

2. Red PowerHold Leggings

Next up was another pair of leggings, this time in red.

Now, red isn’t normally a colour I’d choose for my activewear, but I was actually quite pleased to see these because they were from the Fabletics PowerHold collection.

And if you’ve watched my previous Fabletics reviews, you’ll know how much I love their PowerHold leggings.

I already own them in bright pink and bright blue, and they’re pairs that I wear all the time.

So, although I wouldn’t necessarily have chosen red, I already know that I love the style and fit of these leggings.

And with Christmas coming up, I can definitely see myself getting a little bit festive in them.

This is exactly the kind of thing I was hoping for from the mystery box. Something that I might not have chosen myself but that I know I’ll actually wear.

My verdict: Another winner. I love PowerHold leggings, and I’m happy to add another pair to my collection.

3. Seamless Strappy Low-Impact Sports Bra

The next item was a seamless, strappy, low-impact sports bra.

Again, this isn’t necessarily something I would have picked out for myself.

When I’m choosing sports bras for working out, I generally prefer something with a little more support, particularly if I’m doing higher-intensity exercise.

But as soon as I tried this one on, I could see myself getting plenty of use out of it.

It was incredibly comfortable.

The material was lovely and soft, the straps were thin but didn’t feel like they were going to dig into my shoulders, and it had a really cute crisscross detail at the back.

It was quite low-cut, so I probably wouldn’t choose it for a particularly intense workout, but it would be lovely for stretching, mobility work or simply wearing around the house.

I don’t tend to wear underwired bras very often these days, so having something comfortable like this is actually really useful.

And even better, the colour worked with the black seamless leggings I’d already received.

I also have another pair of leggings in a similar colour, so I’ve got a few different options for wearing it.

I must admit, when I tried the bra and leggings on together, I felt really good in them.

I’m not generally somebody who works out in just a sports bra and leggings, but it was a really lovely little set.

My verdict: Another keeper. Probably more for low-impact activities and everyday comfort than serious training, but I really like it.

4. Teal Activewear Dress

Next out of the box was something a little different.

A teal activewear dress.

Now, I actually quite like active dresses. I’ve already got one from Halara, which I really like, so I was interested to see how this one compared.

The colour was lovely, and the material felt incredibly comfortable.

However, there were a couple of things I wasn’t completely sold on.

Firstly, it came in a size small.

Although I’m currently wearing a small in leggings, I think if I’d been choosing this dress myself, I probably would have gone for a medium as it’s too clingy around my midsection.

I’m still working on losing some of that stubborn belly fat, and I just wasn’t completely sure how I felt about the way it fitted.

The other thing I noticed was that, unlike my Halara dress, this Fabletics dress didn’t have built-in shorts underneath.

It did have a built-in bra, which was nice, but I do like having shorts underneath an active dress, particularly if I’m going to be moving around a lot.

That said, I really liked the colour and the overall style, and it was incredibly comfortable.

It’s also not exactly the time of year for wearing an active dress, so I think this is one that I’m going to put away until next summer and revisit.

I might feel completely differently about it when the weather warms up.

My verdict: I’m undecided. I love the colour and comfort, but I’m not completely sold on the fit or the lack of undershorts.

5. Casual Jersey Shorts

Next up was a pair of casual jersey shorts.

And unfortunately, this is where the sizing started to become a problem. The shorts were a size small, which is what I’d selected for my bottoms.

But while I’m comfortable wearing a small in Fabletics leggings, I definitely wouldn’t normally order a small in shorts.

I prefer my casual shorts to have a little more room.

When I tried them on, they were just too tight, particularly around the pockets.

There was nothing particularly wrong with the shorts themselves. They were a nice, simple style that would have been really easy to wear during the summer.

But they just didn’t fit me the way I’d want them to.

If I’d been buying these individually, I would have sized up.

And unfortunately, this is one of the biggest drawbacks of buying a mystery box.

You can’t return the individual items from this bundle.

So, although the shorts were perfectly nice, they’re not something I’m going to keep.

Instead, they’ll be going straight into my Vinted pile.

My verdict: Nice shorts, but the wrong size. These were definitely a miss for me.

6. Super Soft Terry Joggers

The final clothing item was a pair of super soft terry joggers.

And I was actually quite pleased to see these because I’ve been needing some new joggers.

The first thing I noticed was how lovely the material felt.

They were lightweight, incredibly soft and in a really wearable colour.

I already have a dress made from a similar material, which I absolutely love, so I had high hopes for these.

But again, we had a bit of a sizing issue.

They were a small, and although I could get them on, I definitely would have sized up if I was buying them individually.

The fit was a little strange, particularly around the rise.

I couldn’t quite get them to sit where I wanted them to without looking a bit odd.

I don’t think they’re something I’d choose to wear out and about.

However, the material is so incredibly soft that I decided to keep them anyway.

They’re lightweight enough to wear as pyjama bottoms, and I actually needed some new pyjamas.

So, although they’re not going to be used in the way they were intended, they’re definitely not going to waste.

My verdict: Not a great fit as joggers, but they’re so soft and comfortable that I’ll happily wear them as pyjamas.

Bonus Item: Fabletics Gym Skin Technical Bio Detergent

There was also a little surprise in the box.

A packet of Fabletics Gym Skin Technical Bio Detergent.

When I first pulled this out, I actually thought it was going to count as one of my six items.

And I’ll admit, I felt a little disappointed.

I mean, who really orders an activewear mystery box hoping to receive laundry detergent?

But it turned out that this was just an extra bonus, and I still received all six clothing items.

So, I can’t really complain about that.

It’s designed for washing technical workout clothing, and perhaps it’ll be useful for keeping my gym clothes smelling fresh.

It’s not something I would have gone out of my way to purchase, but as a free extra, I’ll happily give it a try.

Fabletics Mystery Box: What Did I Actually Keep?

After trying everything on, here’s how the box worked out for me.

ItemMy verdict
Black seamless scrunch leggingsLove them – keeping
Red PowerHold leggingsLove them – keeping
Seamless strappy sports braLove it – keeping
Teal activewear dressUndecided – saving for summer
Casual jersey shortsToo small – selling on Vinted
Super soft terry joggersKeeping as pyjamas
Technical detergentFree bonus – will try it

So, out of the six clothing items, there were three that I was immediately really happy with, one that I’ll definitely use as pyjamas, one that I’m still undecided about and one that unfortunately just didn’t fit.

That’s actually a much better result than I’d expected.

Is the Fabletics Mystery Box Good Value for Money?

For me, this was where the mystery box really impressed me.

I paid €59 using my VIP credit, which meant the six clothing items worked out at approximately €9.83 each.

And considering that I received two pairs of leggings that I really like, plus a comfortable sports bra, I already feel like I’ve got my money’s worth.

Even if I never end up wearing the dress, and the shorts go straight onto Vinted, I still think I’ve done pretty well.

Of course, it’s important to remember that I used an existing VIP credit.

If you were paying the advertised €99 price, the cost would work out at €16.50 per item.

That’s still potentially good value for Fabletics clothing, but I’d be a little more cautious because you have no guarantee that the items will suit you or fit the way you’d like.

And that’s really the gamble with a mystery box.

You might receive some absolute gems, or you might end up with several pieces that you wouldn’t have chosen yourself.

The Biggest Downside: Fabletics Sizing

If there’s one thing I’d really highlight from this experience, it’s the difficulty of choosing a single size across different clothing styles.

I’m currently wearing a small in Fabletics leggings, and both pairs I received fitted me really well.

However, that doesn’t mean I’m a small in everything.

For shorts, dresses and joggers, I often prefer to size up.

And because I couldn’t choose individual sizes for every single garment, I ended up with a couple of pieces that weren’t quite right.

This is something worth considering before ordering.

If you’re somebody who consistently wears the same size across all clothing styles, you might have better luck.

But if, like me, you tend to wear different sizes depending on the fit and type of clothing, there’s a greater chance that some of the pieces won’t work for you.

And because the individual mystery box items couldn’t be returned under the terms of my purchase, that’s a risk you need to be comfortable taking.

Is the Fabletics VIP Membership Worth It?

I’ve spoken about the Fabletics VIP membership in previous reviews, and I do think there are some benefits to having it.

One of the things I particularly like is that Fabletics occasionally releases special offers and bundles like this mystery box.

It makes the shopping experience a little more fun, and sometimes you can pick up some really good deals.

However, you do need to remember to skip the month if you don’t want to be charged for a credit.

That’s exactly what happened to me.

I forgot to skip, ended up with a €59 credit and decided to use it towards this mystery box.

In this instance, it worked out quite well.

But I wouldn’t recommend paying for a membership simply because you’re worried about missing out on an offer.

It’s worth making sure you’re actually using the benefits and buying clothing that you need and enjoy wearing.

Fabletcis Review Spring 2026

Would I Buy Another Fabletics Mystery Box?

Surprisingly, yes!

I went into this expecting to be disappointed.

I genuinely thought I was going to receive a box full of strange colours, unpopular styles and things that Fabletics was simply trying to clear out.

But that really wasn’t the case.

There were some lovely staple pieces, including black leggings and a sports bra that I can see myself wearing regularly.

I also received another pair of my favourite PowerHold leggings, which was a brilliant surprise.

And although some of the other pieces weren’t quite right for me, I still think the overall selection was really good.

I actually enjoyed the experience of not knowing what I was going to receive.

It was a bit of fun, and sometimes it’s nice to try things that you wouldn’t normally choose for yourself.

After all, I probably wouldn’t have ordered those black scrunch leggings, and they turned out to be one of my favourite items in the box.

Final Verdict: Is the Fabletics Mystery Box Worth Buying?

For €59, I think my Fabletics Mystery Box was an absolute bargain.

I received six clothing items, a bonus detergent and a surprisingly good variety of styles.

Not everything was perfect, and the sizing was definitely an issue with some of the pieces, but overall, I was really happy with what I got.

Would I have been as happy if I’d paid the full €99? Possibly, but I think I would have been a little more critical of the pieces that didn’t fit.

For me, the biggest lesson is that a mystery box is only worth buying if you’re comfortable taking a chance.

If you like knowing exactly what you’re getting, or you’re particular about the colours and styles you wear, you might be better off choosing individual pieces.

But if you enjoy a bargain, like trying new things and don’t mind the occasional item that doesn’t work out, it can be a really fun way to refresh your activewear wardrobe.

And in my case, I definitely came away with more winners than losers.

Would you take a chance on a Fabletics Mystery Box? Or would you rather choose exactly what you’re buying?

People can be quick to dismiss group workouts. “Y People can be quick to dismiss group workouts.

“You’d get better results following a gym programme.”
“You spend too much time chatting.”
“You could lift heavier in the gym.”

And maybe sometimes that’s true.

But for so many women, working out is about FAR more than squeezing every last percentage out of a training session.

It’s the people who notice when you haven’t been there for a while.

The five-minute catch-up that somehow turns into your entire life story.

The laughing, moaning and collective “WTF is this?” when I explain the next exercise. 😂

Not every workout is supposed to feel amazing. I Not every workout is supposed to feel amazing.

I recently heard Dr Stacy Sims talking about the “law of thirds” and it’s such a good reminder:

Roughly a third of your workouts will feel great.
A third will feel hard.
And a third might feel like complete 💩.

And that doesn’t mean you’re doing anything wrong.

Some days you need to push through the discomfort — because those harder sessions can be the ones that move you forward.

Other days, the smartest thing you can do is rest.

And on the days you’re not sure? Start the warm-up.

Give yourself 10 minutes and see what happens. Sometimes your body wakes up and you end up having a great session. Sometimes it becomes very clear that today isn’t the day.

The skill is learning to know the difference.

But most importantly, stop expecting every workout to feel good.

Consistency isn’t built from perfect workouts. It’s built from showing up, adapting and doing what your body needs that day.

I thought vibration plates were a gimmick until… I I thought vibration plates were a gimmick until… I actually started using one consistently. 😂

And no, I’m not claiming standing on a vibrating platform is magically going to melt fat or replace your workouts.

But what surprised me was how much I actually enjoy using it.

10 minutes while I’m having my morning coffee, after a workout, or at the end of the day and I genuinely feel less stiff, less puffy and weirdly calmer afterwards.

Is some of that placebo? Maybe. 🤷‍♀️
But there is some interesting research around vibration training, circulation, muscle activation and recovery — which is exactly why I decided to properly test one rather than immediately dismiss it as another wellness gimmick.

And months later… I’m still using it.

Sometimes the things you roll your eyes at end up earning a permanent place in your routine. 😂

There’s a difference between listening to your bod There’s a difference between listening to your body and never asking it to do hard things.

As women 40+, we hear a LOT about reducing stress, prioritising recovery and not overdoing it.

And yes — all of that matters.

But I don’t want the message to become “take it easy because you’re getting older.”

I still want to lift heavy, challenge my fitness and occasionally push myself into that uncomfortable place where I have to dig a little deeper.

This session — heavy legs, higher-rep contrast work and then a compromised run — absolutely annihilated me. 😂 Would I train like this every day? Definitely not.

GLP1’s are a powerful tool for weight loss, but it GLP1’s are a powerful tool for weight loss, but it’s not the full story to just eat less. In fact that’s probably the biggest mistake I see people making.

I truly believe there is a ‘right way’ to approach the use of these medications as a tool to support your goals. And if you actually want to keep the weight off then doing it right, matters. It matters for your result and your long term health.

I could do chin-ups before I lost the weight. I w I could do chin-ups before I lost the weight.

I was strong then. 💪

But THIS is one of the biggest differences I’ve noticed since losing 2 stone.

Everything just feels… better.

I’m lighter, but I feel stronger.

I move better. I feel fitter. More athletic. More capable.

And now I’m adding the weight BACK ON… just this time in the form of a weighted vest. 😂

That’s something I really wanted to get right during my weight loss.

I didn’t want the number on the scales to come down at the expense of my strength and muscle.

So throughout my GLP-1 journey, strength training has remained a priority, alongside eating enough protein and keeping the weight loss steady rather than trying to lose as much as possible, as quickly as possible.

Because for me, the goal was never just to take up less space.

I wanted to be able to DO more with my body.

And honestly, that’s probably been one of my favourite parts of this entire transformation.

Lighter. Stronger. More athletic.

Now let’s see how heavy I can make this vest… 👀😂
You don’t need to be motivated. You need to rememb You don’t need to be motivated. You need to remember how much better life feels when you feel strong, fit and capable.

For me, losing weight has absolutely been part of that.

I move better now. Everything feels easier. Running, hiking, lifting, snowboarding, getting up off the floor… there’s simply less of me to move around.

But weighing less was never the end goal.

The real goal is what it allows me to DO.

Because when you feel fit, strong and capable, you get to experience life at a completely different level of participation.

You don’t have to sit on the sidelines and watch other people do things.

You can join in.

You can say yes to the hike. Yes to trying something new. Yes to running around with your kids. Yes to the adventure. Yes to the things that might once have felt too hard, too tiring or simply not for you.

And that, for me, is one of the biggest reasons to keep working on my fitness.

I want muscle. I want strength. I want mobility. I want energy. I want a body that allows me to participate fully in my own life for as long as possible.

Fitness isn’t just about what you look like.

It’s about what your body allows you to experience.

And I don’t want to watch life from the sidelines. I want to be right in the middle of it. ❤️
