I Tried Body Sculpt Leggings Fanka Leggings Review

February 17, 2025 · In: Workout Clothes

In this post I’ll be sharing my honest Fanka leggings review. I am continuing on my mission to find the best workout clothes for the older, or should I say the more mature gym goer. So I was super excited when the brand Fanka reached out to me an offered to send me some of their  workout clothes to try out.

You can also check out the latest and updated review on Fanka’s newest range HERE!

I hadn’t previously heard of this brand, though I think I may be just be a little late to the party as when I wore them in class, many of my class members had heard of and had actually been thinking about getting a pair.

I know how frustrating it can be to buy leggings online only to be disappointed when they don’t fit properly, lack durability, or fail to deliver on their promised benefits.

That’s why I set out to create this series to help you make a more informed decision when choosing your activewear. You can see previous reviews HERE and I’ll be keeping this page updated as I work through reviews with the various brands.

I personally put Fanka Leggings to the test to give you an honest assessment of their quality, performance, and value for money and to see if they live up to their claims as these are not just any leggings and workout gear, so lets see if they are worth the hype or just another marketing gimmick.

These leggings were gifted and Fanka have also given me a discount code for you to use if you would like to check them out.

What’s Special About Fanka Leggings?

Fanka claims to make leggings and workout clothes designed specifically for women and aimed to enhance athletic performance and with increased support and recovery. Their 3D sculpting print design is designed to give targeted compression and support in key areas such as the knees hips and waist. Their highly elasticated and supportive fabric, especially at the waistband giving additional support around the tummy.

There are also claims around added resistance during workouts as well as helping to cellulite reduction.

The leggings feature a high waist for comfort fitting, include a side pocket and another cool feature is that they are also reversible which is a great option if you don’t want to wear them print side up.

Fanka also has a range of activewear for various activities  from tops, sports bra’s and also a good range for outdoor activewear.

My Experience Fanka Leggings Reviews

I ordered the full length leggings in an XL

Upon the first use I am extremely impressed. Love the packaging design and that it’s also from recyclable plastic. I got two pairs of leggings and direct from opening the packet they just felt of good quality. I love the athletic look of the countouring stripes that make up the extra support. Though I am someone who will go from workouts, teaching classes straight to the shops and to the school run. So wilst I would wear the pattern on the outside during workouts and client coaching, I also really loved that they are reversible for when you want to wear them for more everyday wear.

I was a bit apprehensive as when I have tried compression leggings in the past I am often left with that uncomfortable feeling like trying to wedge yourself into a wetsuit that is too small only to feel uncomforable and as though you can’t move that well either. These did NOT happen with the Fanka body sculpt leggings.

The fabric is soft, I felt I could move really well and yet felt they had excellent support. Yes they really do hug you in at the waist, again as a big belly girl this can often be a problem when trying to find new leggings, but these actually felt really nice and comforting without being overly restrictive.

Ok so they did roll down a little bit when working out, but with my thicker waist I have literally never had a pair that have always stayed completely up during every workout. I’m not sure it’s even possible? If you know of any then do let me know in the comments. But they didn’t roll down enough to feel uncomfortable and so it’s not a deal breaker for me as I am yet to find the perfect pair that never rolls down at all.

When I was out walking the dogs and whilst I remain upright, they don’t roll down at all. In fact I flipped them round the other way when doing my errands for the rest of the day (yes I like to marinade all day in my workout great on a busy day) and even when sitting down they didn’t roll down. I also wore them for my next workout in reverse and they didn’t seem to roll down as much when wearing the other way.

I also tested out wearing them as a base layer under my snowboarding kit as I often find that my knees can feel a little achy after being out on the mountain snowboarding. They didnt roll down whilst out and again I really enjoyed the feeling of extra support that they gave, espcially around my knees. These make for a wonderful supportive base layer.

These leggings just feel like they are giving your body a hug in all the right places. My tummy felt pulled in (I was also on a PCOS bloating day) and it just felt comforting without feeling like I was squished up like you would if you were stuck in a wetsuit that is too tight.

It felt like it was hugging my knees , hips and lower back and just felt like they had a bit of comforting support without being restrictive to movement.

I also love the thickness of the waistband that help my belly in snug.

During the workout I tested these on I was doing quite a lot of power moves and my knees felt like they had that bit of extra support, strong and powerful and honestly like I could give the workout a little more. My body just felt better supported and I am honestly so impressed with how good these felt from the first wear.

I did decide to go for a larger size after looking at the reviews and the sizing guide on the website. I am usually a UK size 14 (US 10 EUR 42) but looking at their measurements I did go for a XL and I think they fit really well

I will keep the blog post updated on how these wear over time so be sure to check there for any updates.

Fanka Body Sculpt Sports Bra Review

The bra is truly beautiful. I think this is the most comfortable sports bra I have ever put on. No digging in at the shoulders or round the back. Really nice coverage of the cup and the material of the bra is so soft and its honestly a joy to wear which I think is hard to find with sports bra’s, it’s just incredibly comfortable and I am extreemely happy with it.

I am usually a 34D in bra size and according to their sizing chart I was just between sizes. I think I maybe should have gone with the smaller size as I was right inbetween sizes. It does have adjustable straps on the shoulders and across the back and I do have them all on the tightest setting. But the bra still feel supportive and yet invisible at the same time, as though it’s not even a sports bra at all.

But maybe  if I sized down it would feel more supportive for higher impact workouts like running, though I don’t run much these days and so this brea feels great for the style of lower impact workouts like strength training and even when completing the HIIT workout on which I was testing it out on.

Conclusions

These are some of the best leggings I have tested out recently and I am genuinley impressed with these workout leggings and the sports bra I am absolutley in love with. I am really enjoying the higher compression style fit that just makes them feel more supportive than regular leggings. They hug my body nicely, feeling supportive without being over restrictive and I really like the unique designs and fun colour ways.

Their higher wasted design is perfect for the curvier figure, though I do think that if they are working towards targeting this market then increasing their size range would improve the range further as as someone who would class myself as being mid size I was already at the top of their size range as I did have to size up to an XL when I would regularly get a L in leggings.

Yes they are certainly on the higher end of the market when it comes to the price point but if you are looking to invest in a good quality pair of leggings I do think they are worth the invrestment upon initial testing. I’ll keep the blog post updated on how these wear and share more on their durability over time when they have been worn and washed a good few times.

I can’t comment on the anti cellulite or sculpting results as I haven’t had them long enough to notice a difference in this area and the claims are quite out there. It’s the compression technology that is mean to help with cellulite appearance, but it would be difficult to prove their effectiveness in that area.

Always good to keep an eye our on the website for any special offers and discounts. And you can also use my discount code to get 10% off your order if you do decide to try them out.

You can get 10% off when you use the code Emma10 at check out when using my link.

I hope that this Fanka leggings reviews was helpful in supporting your buying decision and if you have any other questions, please do let me know in the comments.

Skipping isn’t just cardio, it’s longevity tra Skipping isn’t just cardio, it’s longevity training and an important skill we often lose as we age.

When was the last time you jumped?? Jumping helps keep your muscles springy, your calves and Achilles strong, and your reflexes sharp, all key for balance and resilience in midlife.

It also boosts lymphatic flow, supports digestion, and builds explosive strength to help reduce your risk of falling.

Never underestimate the power of a simple skip or any jumping work. Don’t skip it if you want to age well.

Iv heard a lot lately of people taking melatonin t Iv heard a lot lately of people taking melatonin to help with sleep. But the studies tell us it should not be taken lightly. Supplementing with melatonin can cause a down regulation of your natural production

So instead of slapping another supplement on it. We need to look at addressing the reasons behind poor sleep. And I know sometimes, espiecially in midlife that can be more complex reasons such as hormones or overheating at night.

I always suggest a sleep routine and supplementing with magnesium as a first port of call. There are a kit of habits that can support improved sleep but they can take a little discipline to practice, especially when it comes to limiting devices at night

How I’m growing stronger daily in midlife — an How I’m growing stronger daily in midlife — and how you can too

Strong isn’t just about lifting weights — it’s about building the daily habits that support your body and your mindset.

Here are 7 things I’m focusing on to feel stronger, healthier and more energised every day 👇

1️⃣ Set goals & intentions
I write down my goals every month and check in weekly. It keeps me focused, accountable, and moving forward — even when motivation dips.

2️⃣ Fuel your mind while you move
I listen to podcasts, affirmations or mindset activations on my walks. It’s such a simple way to strengthen both body and mind.

3️⃣ Strength train 3x per week
Three sessions is my sweet spot for building strength, keeping hormones balanced and feeling confident through midlife.

4️⃣ Progressive overload is key
You don’t need to crush yourself — just aim to improve. One more rep, a little more weight, better form. That’s how progress happens.

5️⃣ Optimise your protein
Protein is the foundation for muscle, recovery and hormone health. I aim for around 30g per meal to stay full, energised and strong.

6️⃣ Prioritise recovery & sleep
Rest isn’t lazy — it’s essential. Sleep, stretch, walk, unwind. Strength builds when you give your body time to recover.

7️⃣ Sign up for new challenges & events
Having something on the calendar — a race, fitness challenge or event — keeps me motivated, pushes me harder, and helps me grow in new ways.

Stronger isn’t just physical — it’s how you show up for yourself every single day.

Which do you need to give a little focus to?
