In this article, I will be reviewing Happy Mammoth’s Hormone Harmony dietary supplement. These supplements are marketed to peri and menopausal women and they claim will help with hormone balance to support menopausal symptoms and support the immune system. This is an unbias review, I am not being paid to post this, and I paid for the supplements with my own money. I spent over £200 on these supplements so that you don’t have to.
You can either read on through the article, or watch the video of this review below.
They make exciting claims such as “Wipes Out Hormonal Weight Gain, Hot Flashes, Mood Swings, Insomnia, And Lack Of Desire!” and I will be the first to admit that their incessant marketing campaigns certainly piqued my interest at a time when I felt my hormones seemed somewhat off balance.
Not only the clever and constant marketing through ads, but their reviews also seem to be nothing short of incredible. Droves and droves of women sharing their experiences of how this product changed their hormone-driven lives.
It’s not specifically a weight loss supplement, but a product with all-natural ingredients that can help support menopause symptoms.
So of course I had to go and try them out so that you don’t have to, to see if they actually live up to the hype and can bring about some of the positive effects they claim in their marketing material and in one of the many thousand happy mammoth reviews.
The Beginning Of Menopause
If you have stumbled across this review then you may be also like me and have been experiencing the beginning stages of hormonal balance or hormonal imbalance as it may well be and have started to feel perimenopausal symptoms.
At the age of just 39 when my symptoms started, it was something of a shock to me too when I realised I had gone 4 months without a period. I had even that moment where I thought ‘oh fuck, what if I was pregnant’ so off I went to take a pregnancy test just to double-check.
Loss of period wasn’t the only symptom though. As someone who has always been a really good sleeper, I had found that quality sleep was beginning to evade me as I just wasn’t sleeping well at all. Feeling tired throughout the day, unable to get a full night of zzz’s without waking up, either for the toilet or just randomly awake for no apparent reason. Combine this with the weight gain that continues to creep upward despite not making any changes to my diet or workout routine. I have always had most fat storage and stubborn fat around my stomach area, but it was getting to a stage where it was a significant amount of unwanted weight gain and belly fat in particular.
As a health coach, I know how I ‘should’ be able to lose the weight I was putting on, but anything I was trying was just not working and it was getting more than frustrating and increasingly difficult.
Despite having no period and all of the symptoms, I had several blood tests and scans on my ovaries the doctor couldn’t find anything. All of my blood work seemed to be at its normal levels. But I was told that if my period didn’t return that they would consider putting me on Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT) to help retain bone density because of my age.
One of the functions of menopause is that the body stops producing estrogen, this deficiency is known to impact bone health and density and so it was recommended as a possibility to help prevent osteoporosis.
With any medical/pharmaceutical intervention, there are benefits and I know people who have had instant relief from HRT at times when they were really suffering from incredibly uncomfortable symptoms. But like with anything, HRT doesn’t come without risks. HRT is linked with an increased risk of cancer, particularly breast cancer, 5% associated increased risk of developing breast cancer for estrogen only therapy, while there was a 79% associated increased risk for combined estrogen and progestogen therapy.
If you are considering HRT I don’t write this to scare you, but to make people aware of the risks so you can make an informed decision with the support of your medical professional. Know that bioidentical HRT therapies would be my personal preferred choice if I was to head down this route and I wouldn’t completely rule it out if it was needed. But it’s also a decision I wouldn’t take lightly either.
It’s always at the forefront of my mind that I want to navigate life as naturally as possible. To use natural products with an aim of supporting a healthy diet, a healthy body weight and a happy life.
Though there were signs of perimenopausal symptoms, they haven’t been that hard to deal with and actually I feel if I was a little more focused with my nutrition that it could be something that could be managed naturally.
What Is Hormone Harmony?
This is where the heavy marketing from the Happy Mammouth company prey on the desperation that many women feel when their bodies unexpectedly start going through changes.
Promises such as:
- Reduces bloating and fluid retention in 1 to 3 days
- Eliminates hot flashes in as little as 4 to 7 days
- Induces deep, uninterrupted sleep in 5 to 7 days
- Starts shifting hormonal weight in 15 to 30 days
They claim to have helped over 31,643 women live happy, fulfilling lives after years of debilitating hormonal chaos – regardless of their age!
And their 7000+ 5* reviews certainly help to keep that interest peaked and prepared me to stump up the cash.
The product states it’s a ‘complete natural hormone balancing support for women that adapts to the body’s unique needs. Relieves menopausal symptoms, reduces mood swings, and alleviates bloating.
So I paid out €59.99 for a 30-day supply of the Ultra Potent Hormone Harmony supplement. I know!! I had to swallow deeply and hope that their promises would actually come to something as this is a fair old investment for a lot of people, myself included.
You get a jar of 72 vegan capsules and are meant to take 3 capsules a day.
My order arrived pretty quickly as I am in Europe. I have heard from a few UK-based people who have tried them out and know that their order did take a little longer.
What’s in the Hormone Harmony
The ingredients that are in Hormone Harmony are what are known as adaptogens. Adaptogens are known as active ingredients that are found in plants that may impact how your body deals with different stressors and help your body find balance. This is where the ‘to adapt to your body’s unique needs‘ comes in.
Adaptogens have been used by healers for thousands of years and are the basis of natural healing practitioners today. To work with your body to support healing and find a natural balance also known as homeostasis.
I am all for this approach and what lead me to being interested in this particular product. And whilst healers have been using plant compounds since time began, modern science is now available to also back up the claims in supporting the body in our modern high stress world.
Reinforcing a mantra that I love to come back to, is that we all should be working on coming back to nature.
- Maca Extract Gelatinized Maca Extract – Has been shown to reduce symptoms of Menopause including hot flashes and night sweats.
- Broccoli Sprout Extract – Thought to help in balancing estrogens and reducing the risk of cancer.

- Ashwagandha Extract –Is effective in helping to reduce anxiety, stress and mood swings and manage bodyweight.

My Results
So within a few days of taking Hormone harmony, I noticed that I started to feel a little less bloated after eating. There wasn’t the immediate weight loss that I had read in many of the reviews. But in all honesty, I wasn’t really expecting any as I didn’t make any changes to my existing diet or workout routine.
But a month into taking the supplements I noticed that while I hadn’t lost any weight, it was becoming much easier to maintain my weight.
I already regularly workout and eat fairly healthily, but I’m also a woman who also believes in balance and having some of the things that I enjoy in my life. So to get to a space where I felt I could better maintain my weight was a huge win.
When taking Hormone Harmony I was conscious about not changing my diet. As that is one of the many claims from the reviews of this product. That the weight would literally fall off without having to diet.
In my case, it didn’t, but it did stop creeping on.
I decided to keep on taking Hormone Harmony despite its higher price as I wanted to see what the impact could be if I was to take it longer term. many of the studies that are listed above are from longer term consumption of 12 weeks + and bodies can take a while to adapt.
They offered about a 6-bottle offer which brought down the cost per bottle significantly. They also give discount codes if you leave a review on their website after using the product for the first time. Hence the webiste has so many reviews on it. Everyone wants their discount.
I have now been taking Hormone Harmony for over 6 months now. I did take a break when I went on holiday.
Whilst on holiday I did gain a little weight which was to be expected as I was drinking and eating more, and moving less. As soon as I came back to taking the supplement my weight balanced once again.
Now the benefits haven’t just been about my body weight. I am sleeping much better and am having more evenings where I make it through the night not waking up. I have been working on this by also stopping drinking fluids in the evening after 8pm and also regularly take Better You Magnesium spray too ( though I have been taking this for years it is another key supplement I use regularly to support good sleep ** note this is an affiliate link is this a product I love and swear by).
The other thing is that my periods now seem to have returned, hurrah, or maybe not, I don’t know.
I must of course be clear, this is all completely anecdotal. This is just my personal experience and who’s to say they wouldn’t have come back anyway? I have also noticed that pre menstruation symptoms are still there but there is little to hardly any flow. Which also makes me more aware that if menstruation was just so light previously and maybe my periods were just always there. I am now much more aware of my cycle and tracking it more closely.
In my mind, I feel Hormone Harmony has helped me to create a little more balance with my body. I’m better able to manage my weight, sleep and energy levels a lot better. For me that is enough of a sign to keep on taking them.
I’m now also about to approach 40 and so I am working on my health a little more closely to ensure that I am feeling completely fabulous for when I hit the big 40!
Pro’s
- I actually feel it’s a really good product. It’s worked well for me and my body.
- Use natural and organic ingredients
- Have carried out research from independent sources and list all of the scientific research that relates to the key ingredients on their web sites.
Con’s
- It’s really freaking expensive
- I don’t like their follow up email marketing campaigns. I feel that it’s really pushy, and preys on the insecurities of women. For example ‘Goodbye nasty fat sticking to the belly, hips, and thighs‘. Way to feed into your insecurities, right? But this is the way of the world with marketing talk, but some of the emails just don’t sit well with me.
Conclusion
I feel that this is a good quality, well-researched product. Despite it’s high price, I feel it has been effective in helping me create balance with my body and my weight, meaning that I could maintain my weight without having to be overly restrictive. It also helped with reducing headache occurrence and better sleep.
However, I must stress, that like anything, I don’t believe this is a magic pill.
You should always proceed with caution and ensure that you are taking supplements in combination with lifestyle improvements. For best results combine it with some positive lifestyle changes such as reducing alcohol, sugar, working on improving sleep quality and eating a well-balanced diet containing lots of whole foods as well as taking regular exercise. All of these will help to work towards good hormone health.
Happy Mammoth does go on to explain that to get the most from any supplement you must also have healthy digestion. Your gut health will determine how much you get from a supplement and how effective your digestive system is. The gut health protocol will likely be the next happy mammoth products that they may well push you onto you.
Always be aware of marketing tactics and seek professional medical advice before taking any supplements, especially if you are on any type of medication.
I have personally found that it has been effective for me in managing perimenopausal symptoms and will be continuing to use and would also recommend it to others. Just maybe unsubscribe from the emails that they send if you don’t want to constantly feel like shit about yourself.
Going forward as I am now focusing on making some continued tweaks and improvements to my nutrition to be able to lose some more mid-age belly fat, feel better in my skin and keep on continuing to improve sleep, cravings and energy levels.
At this moment I have 2 months left of the 6 I purchased, so my goal is to work on balancing hormones naturally though nutrition and lifestyle. In an ideal world, we would aim to get those adaptogen ingredients from natural food sources. But we are all really paying for the convenience of a capsule.
I would love to work on natural hormone balancing and reduce to 2 capsules a day for the next bottle and then to go down to 1 a day and help my body to come to find its own natural balance.
I’ll be sure to keep you updated on my progress. Be sure to sign up to my email list to make sure you don’t miss an update and also get access to my free 5-day Better Body kickstart.

Update** 12 Months Later
I wanted to post an update on this product as I am now a year down the line since I started taking Hormone Harmony, and I still get asked a lot about it.
So 12 months later I am still taking it, but not in quite as high doses.
I mentioned above that I wanted to taper down it’s usage as for me it is still a significant cost each month and I always try to modify my diet and lifestyle to help manage symptoms first and foremost. But as we all know, that’s not always easy. I have also since writing this post, finally got to the bottom of my hormonal issues. As I’m not perimenopausal after all, but have now been diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS).
A lot of the symptoms are similar to perimenopause and so this diagnosis explains a lot, and Hormone Harmony does also mentions support for PCOS sufferers.
So after my 6 months of bottles that I purchased in bulk I tried to take a break from having it. It’s funny that you don’t notice how much something helps, until the moment that you stop taking it.
I was feeling that my symptoms were better in check. I was sleeping better, I had headaches less often and was generally feeling quite good, in fact, I had been able to lose a little bit of weight with some more intention with my diet.
A few weeks after I stopped I began feeling worse again. Headaches returned, I wasn’t sleeping as well. This then leads to not eating quite as well and I really notice how much that affects my mood.
So 12 months on I am still taking it (though now in lower doses and not quite as regularly). Headaches and poor sleep are not fun and for me and they are the biggest symptoms that Hormone Harmony has helped me with and so I will continue to take it. I will always continue to work on diet and good lifestyle, but I found that this supplement just helps me stay on track with those intentions.

Thank you for that. Feels genuine and sounds plausible. Might give it a try. What better me spray exactly do you recommend? The body spray or the oral spray? I am a fan of the oral spray b12 and was curious what supplement helped you with your sleep. Many thanks and greetings from Germany, Luise

I just use the basic Magnesium oil spray as it has the highest concentration of magnesium in their products. You can use my affiliate link if you choose to try it out https://collabs.shop/kiyjks
I also use their Vitamin D spray too.
