If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably seen IM8 supplements popping up all over your social media feeds. The advertising has been pretty relentless. In fact, my husband actually ended up blocking the adverts because he was so fed up with seeing them! So in this post I’ll be giving you my full and honest IM8 Reviews.
Because whenever I see a health and wellness product being promoted quite so heavily, it makes me curious. I want to know whether it actually lives up to the hype or whether it’s just another expensive supplement with some very clever marketing behind it.
So I decided to put IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials to the test.
And I’ll tell you something straight away. I didn’t particularly want to like this supplement, mainly because it is EXPENSIVE!
I’ve seen plenty of people describing it as nothing more than an overpriced multivitamin with David Beckham’s name attached to it. On the other hand, I’ve seen doctors and fitness professionals absolutely raving about it.
So which is it?
I’ve now spent several months testing IM8, including taking it consistently for two months, taking a full month off, and then reintroducing it. This post is NOT sponsored, I have spent my own money so that you can make a more informed decision on if you think the supplement may be right for you.
And I have to say, the results genuinely surprised me.
This is my honest IM8 review, sharing what I liked, what I didn’t like, the ingredients, the research behind it and, most importantly, whether I think it’s actually worth the money.

What Is IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials?
IM8 is a premium nutritional supplement brand co-founded by David Beckham, and its Daily Ultimate Essentials supplement is designed to provide comprehensive nutritional support in one daily drink.
The idea behind it is that rather than taking multiple different supplements, you can get many of the nutrients and additional ingredients you might be looking for in one product.
IM8 makes some pretty bold claims about supporting energy and vitality, immune function, heart health, muscle and joint health, digestion, cognitive function, hydration, and even healthy hair, skin and nails.
That’s quite a lot for one supplement to promise!
There are different products within the IM8 range, but I went for Daily Ultimate Essentials because I wanted something that could potentially replace several of the supplements I was already taking.
I also made the decision to stop taking my other supplements while testing IM8 so that I could get a better idea of how I felt using this product on its own.
Of course, this wasn’t a scientific experiment. It was simply my own experience, and there are always going to be other factors that influence how we feel.
But I wanted to give it a proper chance rather than taking it for a week and deciding whether I liked it.
How Much Does IM8 Cost?
Let’s address the elephant in the room.
IM8 is expensive.
Depending on where you live, the product and the subscription package you choose, you’re looking at roughly the £100, €100 or $100 price point for a month’s supply, although prices and promotions vary.

That’s a significant monthly investment, especially when you consider that you could buy a fairly decent multivitamin for a fraction of that price.
IM8 offers subscription options, which can bring the price down, particularly when purchasing several months at a time.
I originally purchased two months because I wanted to give the supplement enough time to see whether I noticed any meaningful difference.
I’ve since reordered a three-month package because I was able to get a better price.
But is the higher price actually justified?
That really comes down to what you’re getting in the product and, more importantly, whether you feel any benefit from taking it.

IM8 Packaging, Taste and Mixability – What I Didn’t Like
Before getting into the positives, I want to talk about a few things I really didn’t like.
Because even though this is going to end up being a pretty positive review, there are definitely some things I think IM8 could improve.
The packaging looks beautiful, but is it necessary?
When you first open your IM8 delivery, the presentation is lovely.
Everything looks and feels very premium, which is exactly what you’d expect from a product at this price point.

You get a rather unusual hexagonal container, which I believe is designed to be kept and refilled.
But personally, I found it a bit of a faff.
Getting the sachets in and out wasn’t particularly convenient, and I found the lid awkward to put back on.
You also get a drinking bottle, which I actually really like. It’s a good-quality bottle that keeps your drinks cold for a long time, and I’ve continued using it for water.
There are also plenty of leaflets and information about the product and the research behind it.
While the presentation is lovely, I can’t help wondering how much of the price is going towards the packaging and marketing materials rather than the actual supplement.
Does IM8 taste good?
This is probably my biggest complaint.
I don’t particularly like the taste of IM8.
I’ve tried the different flavours, and I find them all far too sweet.
Now, I know taste is very subjective, and I’ve spoken to other people who genuinely don’t mind it.
But for me, it has a slightly artificial sweetness that I just don’t particularly enjoy.
It’s not that it tastes absolutely awful. I’ve got used to it over time, and I can quite happily drink it down.
But I’m definitely not drinking it because I love the flavour.
I’m drinking it because of what’s in it.
Does IM8 dissolve properly?
The other issue I’ve had is with the mixability.
Initially, I was mixing the powder directly into the IM8 drinking bottle, but I found that it didn’t dissolve particularly well.
There always seemed to be residue left behind, and it would stick to the inside of the bottle, making it difficult to clean.
However, when my second month’s delivery arrived, I received an electric mixer.
And I have to say, this made a huge difference.
The mixer is actually a really nice piece of equipment. It’s rechargeable, feels well-made and looks lovely sitting in my kitchen.
More importantly, it mixes the powder much more effectively.
Do I think it’s essential to have a fancy electric mixer to take a supplement? Probably not.
But it definitely improved the experience for me.
IM8 Ingredients – Is It Just an Overpriced Multivitamin?
One of the biggest criticisms I’ve seen about IM8 is that it’s basically just an expensive multivitamin.
And having looked through the ingredient list, I don’t think that’s entirely fair.
IM8 Daily Ultimate Essentials contains over 90 ingredients, covering a much wider range of nutrients and compounds than you’d typically find in a standard multivitamin.
These include vitamins and minerals, greens and superfoods, prebiotics, probiotics, postbiotics, digestive enzymes, adaptogens, mushrooms, amino acids and electrolytes.
Some of the ingredients and amounts I discussed in my video include:
- CoQ10 – 100 mg
- MSM – 1,500 mg
- Magnesium – 100 mg
- Saffron extract – 30 mg
- Probiotics – 10 billion CFU
- Prebiotic fibre – 3 g
- A comprehensive range of B vitamins, including methylated B12 and folate
There are also ingredients such as rhodiola, ginseng, reishi, chaga, turmeric and berberine.
So there’s definitely a lot more going on here than your average multivitamin.
However, having 90 ingredients doesn’t automatically mean a supplement is going to be better.
What matters is the amount of each ingredient, how well it is absorbed and whether there’s good evidence to support the benefits being claimed.
And just because an individual ingredient has been studied doesn’t necessarily mean that combining it with another 89 ingredients will produce the same results.
I do think IM8 has put together an interesting formula, but I also think we need to be realistic about what supplements can and cannot do.
Why I was particularly interested in the berberine
One ingredient that really caught my attention was berberine.
I’ve spoken about berberine before because it’s been researched for its potential benefits in supporting blood glucose regulation and insulin sensitivity.
As someone with PCOS and insulin resistance, this is something I’ve been particularly interested in.
I’ve actually tried berberine on two separate occasions in the past, but unfortunately I didn’t get on particularly well with it.
Both times, I experienced symptoms that felt as though my blood sugar was dropping too low, although I didn’t confirm that with glucose readings.
So I ended up stopping it.
What’s interesting is that I’ve had no similar issues while taking IM8, despite it containing berberine.
That doesn’t necessarily mean the amount in IM8 is having the same effects as a standalone berberine supplement, but it’s something I found interesting.

My IM8 Results After Two Months
Now for the part you’re probably most interested in.
Did I actually notice any difference?
During the first month, I honestly wasn’t sure.
I wasn’t experiencing any major changes, and I certainly wasn’t having one of those life-changing moments that you sometimes see in supplement adverts.
But as I got into the second month, things started to change.
And it wasn’t necessarily one huge thing.
It was lots of smaller improvements that started adding up to me generally feeling really, really good.
My sleep improved significantly
Sleep has become something I’ve had to work much harder at since reaching my 40s.
I used to be a really good sleeper, but as I’ve got older, I’ve started experiencing more disrupted sleep. Sometimes I wake up during the night with racing thoughts and struggle to get back to sleep.
Other times, and probably more commonly, I’ll wake up at four or five in the morning and just be wide awake.
For me, getting seven to eight hours of good-quality sleep is a real priority.
And during my second month of taking IM8, I started consistently sleeping right through until my alarm.
Not only that, but I was waking up feeling properly rested.
And that was a BIG thing for me.
Because when I sleep well, everything else feels better.
My energy is better, my training is better, my mood is better, and I generally feel much more capable of getting through a busy day.
Now, whether the improvement in my sleep was directly caused by IM8, I can’t say for certain.
But it was definitely one of the most noticeable changes.
Less bloating and better digestion
The other big improvement was with my digestion.
I’ve suffered with bloating for years, and having PCOS, it’s something I’ve always had to be quite mindful of.
I know there are certain foods, particularly some wheat-based products, that can make my bloating worse.
I don’t completely eliminate them from my diet, but I do notice that when my eating habits aren’t quite as good, my digestive symptoms can flare up.
Sometimes the bloating can be quite uncomfortable and even painful.
I’ve also found that I need to stay on top of my fibre intake to keep everything moving regularly.
But during my second month of IM8, I noticed I was having far fewer episodes of bloating.
My bowel movements were more regular, and I generally felt much more comfortable after eating.
Again, it wasn’t an overnight transformation.
It was one of those things where I suddenly realised that something which had previously been bothering me just wasn’t happening as often.
My energy levels were so much better
This was probably the point where I started thinking that something had really changed.
I was feeling fantastic.
I’d recently increased my training volume because I was preparing for HYROX, and despite the additional workload, I was feeling strong, energised and recovering well.
I was getting through my workouts and generally feeling like I had plenty of energy to get through the day.
I was also taking IM8 in the afternoon rather than first thing in the morning.
I already have a smoothie in the morning, and I don’t particularly want another large drink straight afterwards.
Plus, if there’s one time of day when my energy tends to dip, it’s the afternoon.
So that felt like a good time to take it then, and I noticed that I wasn’t getting those afternoon energy crashes.
Of course, that could partly have been down to the additional hydration, but I was definitely feeling better.
I remember thinking to myself that I felt pretty unstoppable.
But there was one thing I couldn’t quite work out.
Was this actually because of IM8?
Or was it because I’d recently lost weight and was generally feeling healthier and fitter?
Which is why I decided to stop taking it.
What Happened When I Stopped Taking IM8 for a Month?
This is where things got really interesting.
After taking IM8 for two months, I decided to take a full month off.
I wanted to see how I felt without it, particularly because there had been other changes going on with my health, fitness and weight.
And within about six days, I was seriously considering ordering it again.
My energy levels had dropped significantly.
I was feeling tired, my body felt heavier, and my workouts were becoming much harder to get through.
I was also noticing more bloating and digestive discomfort after certain meals.
But the biggest thing was my sleep.
I was back to waking up at stupid o’clock in the morning, four or five o’clock, wide awake, and unable to get back to sleep.
And once my sleep started suffering, everything else seemed to become harder.
I was getting to the afternoon and feeling like I genuinely needed a nap just to get through the rest of the day.
Now, I did question whether this was simply a hormonal fluctuation or whether my increased training volume was starting to catch up with me.
So rather than immediately restarting IM8, I decided to continue for the full month.
And while my energy fluctuated slightly, I continued to feel noticeably more drained throughout that period.
It was enough to make me think that perhaps this supplement had been making more of a difference than I’d initially realised.
Of course, stopping and restarting a supplement isn’t a controlled scientific experiment, and I can’t rule out other explanations.
But from my own experience, the difference was significant.
And it completely changed the way I looked at the price.
IM8 Clinical Studies – What Does the Research Say?
One thing I do appreciate is that IM8 has invested in research looking at the finished supplement rather than relying entirely on studies of individual ingredients.
In my video, I discussed the results IM8 reported from its 12-week study.
According to the company, the reported findings included:
- 95% of participants reporting improved energy
- 85% reporting improvements in digestion and bloating
- 80% reporting better sleep
- Reported improvements in focus and cognitive wellbeing
What I found particularly interesting was how closely the reported improvements in energy, sleep and digestion reflected my own experience.
However, I think it’s important to put these results into perspective.
The study was relatively small, and the research was funded by the company behind IM8.
That doesn’t automatically mean the findings are invalid, but it does mean we should be cautious about treating the headline percentages as definitive proof of effectiveness.
I’d also like to see larger, independently replicated studies and full peer-reviewed results before drawing stronger conclusions.
And of course, my own experience is just that — my own experience.
There are so many factors that can affect our energy, sleep and digestion, particularly during midlife.
So while the research is interesting, I wouldn’t suggest that everybody who takes IM8 is guaranteed to experience the same benefits.
IM8 and My Mounjaro Weight Loss Journey
Something else that’s important to mention is that I’ve also been on a GLP-1 medication as part of my weight loss journey.
Having PCOS and insulin resistance, managing my weight has been something I’ve struggled with for years, despite being active and following a generally healthy lifestyle.
I’ve recently reached my goal weight and have been working towards maintaining that weight while gradually reducing my Mounjaro dose.
During weight loss, particularly when appetite is reduced, I think it’s important to pay attention to nutritional intake and make sure you’re still getting adequate protein, vitamins and minerals.
That was one of the reasons I was interested in trying IM8 in the first place.
I wanted something that could potentially help fill nutritional gaps and support my energy levels while I continued strength training and preparing for HYROX.
I’m now focusing on maintenance rather than further weight loss, and my plan is to continue using IM8 while monitoring how I feel.
I’m also interested to see whether my energy, digestion and appetite remain consistent as I continue reducing my Mounjaro dose.
Although I should point out that IM8 isn’t a replacement for adequate nutrition or medical treatment, and there isn’t evidence that it can prevent weight regain after GLP-1 medication.

Is IM8 Worth the Money? My Honest Verdict
So after several months of testing IM8, do I actually think it’s worth the money?
For me, yes.
And I really didn’t expect to be saying that.
I still don’t particularly like the taste.
I still think it’s expensive.
And I don’t think everybody necessarily needs a supplement containing over 90 different ingredients.
But I also can’t ignore how good I was feeling when I was taking it consistently.
I was sleeping better, my digestion was better, I had more energy, and I was coping really well with a demanding training schedule.
And then when I stopped taking it, I noticed a significant difference in how I felt.
That’s what really changed my opinion.
I’ve now reordered another three months because I genuinely want to get back to feeling as good as I did.
I’m also considering whether I can make the supplement last a little longer by taking it less frequently, although that would be different from the recommended daily protocol and I wouldn’t assume the same benefits.
For me, the biggest value is how I feel.
When I’m sleeping properly and have enough energy to train, work and enjoy my life, that makes a huge difference.
And as a woman in my 40s who wants to continue feeling strong, healthy and capable, that’s something I’m prepared to invest in.
Does that mean IM8 is going to be worth the money for everyone?
Absolutely not.
But based on my own experience, I do think it’s worth the hype for me.
And that’s why I’m keeping my subscription for now.
