I have got some serious new year vibes starting to settle in and I love nothing more than starting the new year with a clear vision of my goals and a serious I can do this sh!t attitude!!
The combination of journaling and using a life planner are my tools of choice to help me maintain motivation and focus not just in January, but to last me throughout the entire year when you create a system for using these tools.
So before you start the new year, get out a notebook, any one will do. I like to use a pretty notebook that has nice quality paper and start to map out some ideas.
Here are 23 journaling prompts that will help you take on the new year with your own can-do whoop ass attitude.
Reflection
What were some of the highlights from the past year?
What did you learn?
What challenges did you face?
How did you grow?
What are you feeling proud of?
What are you grateful for?
What is a beautiful moment that you want to remember?
Intention
What would you love to achieve this year?
What do you want to focus on most?
Why is this important to you?
What do you want to do more of?
Who is the person you want to be?
What are you choosing to let go of?
Vision
What is the vision of your life a year from now?
What does your life look like?
What are you doing?
How does your life feel?
What are you doing differently?
Who are you with?
What is making you the happiest?
Make A Plan
What steps would you need to take to make your vision a reality?
What do you get to do on a daily, weekly and monthly basis?
What support do you need?
Once you have this laid out you can use a daily and weekly planner to help you stay on track.
This year I am using a beautiful notebook that my friend bought me for my birthday last year, and then this year I am delving into the Clever Fox planner. I’m liking the look of the clean layout, and of course the pretty stickers
My mum also bought me a brand new Parker pen which I’m also looking forward to cracking out too. There is really something about a smooth biro rolling across good quality paper.
I know a lot of people like to do these types of things digitally these days, but I’m old school and I love nothing more than new stationery.
Planning and prepping like this is just pure joy for me, so I hope you too can get a lot from going through this process.
If you want to take it a step further you can watch the videos below which includes the January Jumpstart challenge from last year including how to create your vision board and get totally aligned for the year ahead.
Wishing the most amazing start to the New Year in whichever direction you choose to take on your year.
I’d love to hear what goals you have set out for yourself this year. Do let me know in the comments or drop me a message.
